Regional Science City gets into eclipse mode

The Regional Science City has made special arrangements for visitors to watch the annular solar eclipse on Friday from 11:30 am.

The Regional Science City has made special arrangements for visitors to watch the annular solar eclipse on Friday from 11:30 am. Educational programmes for schoolchildren and the public will be held as well.

Special filters,eclipse goggles and telescope projections will be made available to visitors to view the eclipse without any extra charge. Visitors can also interact with scientists and astrophysicists.

A special eclipse quiz will be held at 1 pm and a temporary exhibition on solar eclipse will take place from 10 am to 5:30 pm. The partial solar eclipse will be visible in the city from 11:57 am to 3:18 pm. The maximum phase will begin at 1:46 pm and last 11 minutes and 8 seconds. This will be the longest eclipse since 1992.
