CHIEF MINISTER Yogi Adityanath, who reached Ayodhya on Friday, reviewed the preparations for the Ram Temple consecration ceremony slated for January 22. Adityanath also offered prayers to Ram Lalla and also visited the Hanuman Garhi temple in Ayodhya.
Saying that the consecration ceremony would be a “historic” occasion, he pointed out that it would be an event that would “reiterate India’s faith and pride.”
“Bharat ke vishwas aur lok astha ki punah pratistha ka karikaram hai,” said the CM, making an appeal to people to show patience in planning their visits to Ayodhya. Assuring that all arrangements would be made by the local administration and the police, Adityanath asked people to plan their visit as per schedule and not to come on foot amid cold weather conditions.
Earlier in the day, while participating in an event in Ayodhya, Adityanath said, “Whether it is Kashi or Ayodhya, Prayagraj or Chitrakoot, Badrinath Dham or Kedarnath Dham, Mahakal or Somnath, pious sights are visible to followers of Sanatan Dharma everywhere today.”
During a review meeting of the preparations later in the day, the CM also announced that his entire Cabinet of ministers would offer prayers at the Ram Temple on February 1.
“There is an atmosphere of enthusiasm regarding the coming consecration ceremony across Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh and the entire country. Devotees will feel joy after seeing this moment, which is coming after five centuries,” said Adityanath assuring that with the cooperation of the public, the blessings of sadhus and the grace of Lord Ram, the January 22 event would take place in a “grand, divine, secure, and well-organised manner.”
He also assured that any plan for the darshan of Lord Ram prepared by the Teerth Kshetra Trust would receive full support from the state government at the local level and informed that improved green corridors have been set up for the convenience of visitors from cities across the state, including Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Varanasi and Prayagraj.

Maintaining that he understands the excitement and enthusiasm, the Chief Minister made an appeal to the people, “After five centuries, this opportunity has come… And therefore, there is enthusiasm and excitement in everyone’s hearts. Every devotee wants to have darshan of Lord Ram. The emotions that are in your hearts are in our hearts too. My appeal is that with enhanced coordination and harmony, darshan will be possible. So people should arrive in Ayodhya as per their scheduled visits. Do not come on foot.”
He also urged people to show patience, requesting everyone to wait for their designated turn and follow the prescribed schedule.
The Chief Minister also informed that a “beat system” is being prepared to engage with people at the grassroots level and to facilitate organised darshan of Ayodhya from different places. “22 ke baad bhi Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Khsetra Nyas ke Duara Prabhu sri ram ke darshan karne ke liye karya yojna tyar hogi, jismein yahan par sthaniya star par ane wale shradhaluon ko darshan karne ka awashar prapta hoga,” said Adityanath.
Officials informed that during the review meeting earlier in the day, it was specified that a liaison officer should be deployed with every “VVIP” and that such officers should be deployed, who are familiar with the “mythological, historical and geographical importance of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mukti Yagya, Ayodhya” and that they should also be given counseling in this regard.
