Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi is all set to address his first pre-election rally in Uttar Pradesh from Aligarh district on October 9. The information reached Aligarh district unit on Sunday evening from office of Rahul Gandhi. A senior Congress leader informed that so far just the date has been decided and party would soon decide the place of his rally as well. Senior party leaders are expected to reach the district in next few days to give final shape to the rally. Party is in the process of finalising another three such rallies of Rahul Gandhi in the state in next one month.

The rally,which is planned in western UP would be significant following prevailing tension in the region after Muzaffarnagar violence and would aim at grabbing attention of public,which is at present unhappy with the state government.
