Rahul on 3-day visit to Amethi

Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi is on a three-day visit to his parliamentary constituency of Amethi from Monday.

Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi is on a three-day visit to his parliamentary constituency of Amethi from Monday. During his visit,he will dedicate to people the centralised stamping unit of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited at Jagdishpur,party spokesman Akhilesh Pratap Singh said on Sunday.

The function will be attended by Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Vilasrao Deshmukh and MoS Arun Yadav.

Gandhi will attend a series of programmes in the three days and is expected to pay surprise visits to villages to take stock of developmental projects and NREGS,Singh said.

On Wednesday,he will address students of the Indian Institute of Information Technology-Allahabad (IIIT-A) to mark the fifth convocation of the institute to be held at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Information Technology,Amethi.

As the chief guest,Gandhi will deliver the convocation address,said IIIT-A director Dr MD Tiwari. On the occasion,bachelor degrees will be conferred upon 151 engineering graduates and the masters degrees to 166 students. One student,Aarti Chamoli,will be conferred with the doctorate.
