Proposal to build floorball stadium

A Finnish delegation met Lucknow Mayor Dr Dinesh Sharma at his residence in Lucknow and presented him a proposal to build an international standard floorball stadium in Lucknow in a joint-venture with Lucknow Municipal Corporation.

Secretary UP Floorball Association M Javed informs that the delegation comprised Jarkko Horkonen and Esmeralda Stahlberg from Finland. The delegation expressed that their organisation together with the Floorball Federation of India will invest around Euro 1,00,000 or more in the project. They also said that this will be the a stadium where international and national floorball tournaments as well as training programmes will be organised regularly.

Javed informed that the mayor assured that the Lucknow Municipal Corporation would also like see an international floorball stadium at Lucknow.

A proposal to this effect would soon be tabled in the LMC House for approval to further proceed into an agreement for the start of the project,Javed adds.
