Urban Development Minister Azam Khan on Monday demanded a thorough probe into the corruption allegations against former municipal commissioner of Ghaziabad Jitendra Kumar Singh. In a letter to Chief Secretary Javed Usmani,Khan asked him to get an enquiry conducted by Meerut commissioner into the allegations and submit the report in a weeks time,a spokesperson said.
Khan has stated that if any of the allegations are proved correct,National Security Act (NSA) should be imposed against Singh,the spokesperson said. Khan has said Singh,during his 10-month tenure as the municipal commissioner,reportedly leased out invaluable land of parks to his relatives at throwaway prices.
