Pratapgarh SP among five IPS officers transferred

The state government transferred five IPS officers,including the SPs of Pratapgarh and Etawah districts.

The state government transferred five IPS officers,including the SPs of Pratapgarh and Etawah districts,on Friday evening. The ADG (Training Directorate),Sulkhan Singh,was shifted to Police Headquarters in Allahabad. Inspector General P V Ramashastry,who had been waiting for posting since he returned from a long leave,was posted as IG (Budget) at the Police Headquarters. Pratapgarh SP Om Prakash Sagar has been made the new Commandant of 30th Battalion PAC in Gonda district. Etawah SSP Rakesh Pradhan will replace him. The SP of Agra Government Railway Police,R K Chaturvedi,will take charge as Etawah SSP. A few days ago,a Samajwadi Party MP,MLA and MLC,along with Independent MLA Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya were arrested for the alleged attack on a BSP candidate for the block head polls. The accused are currently in jail.
