Addressing a gathering after the unveiling and laying the foundation stones of 80 infrastructure development projects worth Rs 208 crore for Mathura district, the chief minister said the UP Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad, of which he is the chairman, has been working for the holistic development of the Braj region and to create a new identity for it.

The UP Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad has been constituted for drafting a plan for preserving, developing and maintaining the aesthetics of Braj heritage in all hues — cultural, ecological and architectural — and co-coordinating and monitoring the implementation of such plans. Besides, the parishad is also responsible for evolving harmonised policies for integrated tourism development, heritage conservation and management in the region.

The chief minister told local public representatives of Mathura, including MP and MLAs, to take BJP workers from their constituencies to Kashi Vishwanath Dham in Varanasi, Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya and Deen Dayal Upadhyay memorial in Chandauli.

“I will ask public representatives of Ayodhya and Varanasi to take people from there to Mathura, Vrindavan, Barsana, Gokul and Nandgaon for pilgrimage. These dhams are our identity. These are our past, history, pride and heritage. It has given us identity,” said the chief minister.
