NRCA XI win in Eram Cup cricket

NRCA XI defeated Naqvi Sporting by five wickets in their league match of the Eram Cup-2009 at Pt Rahas Bihari Tiwari Stadium,Lucknow on Thursday.

Asked to bat first,Naqvi Sporting scored 141 runs losing all their wickets in 30.5 overs in the 35 overs-a-side match. Besides,Sonu Pandey (58) and Sajjad Qasim (38) no other batsman could reach the double-digit mark due to the accurate bowling exhibited by a couple of NRCA bowlers. Dhananjay and Sandeep took three wickets each while Ashish claimed two wickets.

In reply,NRCA was able to attain the set mark in 21.5 overs with five wickets to spare.

Ashish Sharma (36),Ritesh Mishra (30),Ajay Singh (25 not out) and Ashish (20 not out) batted responsibly for the team. Nadeem Akhtar claimed three wickets while Ritu Raj Singh and Dishant Singh took apiece each.
