Now,radio learning in Lucknow division

After its successful implementation,the authorities are now planning to extend the programme to other districts in the Lucknow Division — Hardoi,Lakhimpur Kheri,Rae Bareli,Sitapur and Unnao.

“We are deliberating on the issue and still need to work out the modalities,” said Lalita Pradeep,Principal,DIET-Lucknow. “The English classes in this session will begin by September. With 81 lessons to be taught,we will easily be able to cover the course in this session,” she added.

At present,classes are being held for Classes IV and VI students. “Lessons for Classes V and VII have also been prepared. Apart from words and sentence formation,we will include poems and stories,” said Pradeep.

The technical support for the programme is being provided by a Pune-based NGO — Centre for Learning Resources.
