Man dies after being hit by red beacon car

A 40-year-old man died after being hit by a red beacon car in Lucknow’s Cantonment area on Wednesday afternoon. Raju Bharti,a supervisor in Cantonment Board,was riding his scooter when the car hit him from behind. An injured Bharti was rushed to the hospital where he died. The police have seized the car and arrested driver Shiv Shankar Pandey,who is a government employee. “Though the car belongs to the additional advocate general,the driver was alone when the incident happened,” said Kuldeep Kumar,in-charge of the Cantonment police station.
