Lucknow University to honour illustrious alumni

Alumnae Society of Lucknow University (LU) will honour Jharkhand governor Dr Syed Ahmed with lifetime achievement award. Apart from Ahmed,the society will also honour ghazal singer,Padma Shri Anup Jalota on LU’s Foundation Day on November 25.Prof Mohammad Muzammil,Vice-Chancellor of Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar University,Agra and former V-C of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University,Bareilly will be among those who will be felicitated. Prof Muzammil,is a Gold Medalist in MA (II) Economics in 1974.

From the field of arts,Farrukh Jaffar,who acted in Peepli Live,will also be honoured. Jaffar was a LU student in1938.

In the field of business,Ashwani Kumar,Dena Bank CMD will be honoured this year.
