10 Chambal dacoits get life term
ETAWAH: A local court on Friday awarded life imprisonment to 10 dacoits of Chambal for killing two villagers and beating up two others,suspecting them to be police informers. The convicts had abducted four people from Vinayakpur village on September 31,last year. The dacoits beat them up and left the four in the ravines in serious condition.

Power theft: FIR against Vodafone,Airtel managers
LUCKNOW: The enforcement squad of the UPPCL has got FIRs lodged against the managers of Vodafone and Airtel,accusing the companies of power theft in Azamgarh,officials said on Friday. During a checking drive at Dharwara in Azamgarh on Thursday,it was found that two towers of the companies had consumed power much higher than the stipulated 15 KW load. It was found that bypassing a meter,a separate network was created to steal power, a spokesman of the UPPCL said. Similarly,power theft by the two companies was also detected at Azamgarhs Sumbhi and Jagdishpur areas,he added. The squad had imposed a fine of Rs 12 lakh on the companies.
BJP training camp begins today
LUCKNOW: The BJP will conduct Prabodhini training course for 200 leaders from Uttar Pradesh on Saturday. The two-day camp,to be inaugurated by former Himachal Pradesh chief minister B Shanta Kumar,will be held at the Divyansh Guest House on Kursi Road. Senior leaders who will participate in the meet include national coordinator of the Prabodhini training programme,Alok Kumar,deputy national coordinator Ram Pyare Pandey,national vice-presidents Kalraj Mishra and Vinay Katiyar and state president Surya Pratap Shahi.
