Impressive win for Microlit XI

Responsible batting performances by Shivansh (51) and Kamal Deep Tripathi (46) and a four wicket haul by Ashish Verma (4 for 22) helped Microlit XI in defeating Hindustan Firework Cricket Club by 103 runs in their league match of the XIth Babu Banarsi Das ‘C’ Division Cricket League at Chowk Stadium,Lucknow on Tuesday. The cricket league has been organised by Cricket Association Lucknow (CAL).

Batting first,Microlit XI scored 186 runs losing all its wickets in the given 25 overs. In rely,Hindustan Firework Cricket Club was all out at a total of 83 runs in 17.3 overs.

Varun shines

An unbeaten 70-run knock by Varun Kapoor helped Airtel XI in defeated HCBL Bank team by five wickets in their league match of the Professional League 2011 night cricket tournament at SAI Greens grounds on Tuesday. Varun’s 70came off 49 balls which featured nine boundaries and three lofty sixes. Varun was declared Man-of-the-match for his efforts.
