Two IAS officers shifted
The state government transferred two IAS officers on Saturday. Alok Kumar,who is secretary (Housing and Urban Planning Department) has been given the additional charge of secretary (Medical and Health Department). Kumar Ravikant Singh,the joint magistrate of Banda,has been shifted to Muzzafarnagar.

Tractor falls into canal,2 missing
A tractor-trolley carrying six labourers fell into Indra Canal in Lucknow’s Chinahat area on Saturday evening. Four persons managed to escaped,while two others are still missing. Divers have been pressed for rescue efforts and search operation is on. “The incident occurred when driver lost control over wheel and vehicle fell into Canal breaking its boundary wall,” said Inspector (Chinahat) Girja Shankar Tripathi. He added that all victims were labourers working in a brick kiln in Barabanki.

MP’s home robbed
Miscreants allegedly robbed the house of BJP MP from Basgaon Kamlesh Paswan in Lucknow’s Gomti Nagar area on Saturday decamped with cash and valuables. Vimlesh Paswan,the MP’s brother,told the police that miscreants escaped with Rs 20,000 in cash,two gold chains,a gold ring,camera and other belongings.
