Govt bans 2 books for ‘hurting’ religious sentiments

The state government imposed a ban on two books authored by Manindra Nath Sinha and S D Sharma on Friday. Sinha’s Carlyle,the hero as poet and Sharma’s KK Digest English Literature Prose reportedly carried contents that compared Prophet Mohammad with Carlyle. The communiqué from the government stated that the orders were issued following recommendations by the state DGP and the Law department.
