Five IAS officers made DMs

The state government,on Monday,posted five IAS officers as district magistrates of five districts.

The state government,on Monday,posted five IAS officers as district magistrates of five districts. According to the government order,Rigjiyan Samphil,special secretary,Rural Development Department,and Prabhu Narain Singh,who was waiting for posting,would now join as the DM of Kushinagar and Chhatrapati Sahuji Nagar districts respectively. Dr Balkar Singh has been made DM of Jaunpur while A V Rajamouli will go to join as the DM of Ramabai Nagar. Dr Shanmuga Sundaram,DM,Hardoi,has been asked to join as the new DM of Gautam Buddha Nagar.

Two dead,22 injured in road mishap

LUCKNOW: Two persons got killed and 22 other suffered injuries as a tractor-trolley carrying about 35 people fell into dug-up roadside in Bakshi Ka Talab area of the city on Monday. According to police,the tractor-trolley fell into the roadside as the driver tried to turn the speeding vehicle. Police said Deepak (11),and Pushpa (45),both residents of Bakshi Ka Talab,died at the trauma centre during treatment after being injured in the accident. Out of 22 injured,21persons who suffered minor injuries were discharged from the hospital,and one Jagdish was still being treated for injuries.
