Another swine flu death was reported on Friday — taking the toll of the disease in the state to eight.

Sandeep Pandey (27) — a resident of Ambedkar Nagar — was admitted at the CSMMU in critical condition on Friday and succumbed to his illness later.

Test reports from SGPGI confirm that he had swine flu,said Chief Medical Officer AK Shukla.

Another case has also been reported from the SGPGI campus,he added.

Confirming Pandey’s death,Dr Narsingh Verma,Chief Medical Superintendent,CSMMU,said: “I am not sure whether his reports have come,because reports generally take 24 hours.”
