DSP shot by pradhan’s kin,local cops tell CBI

Kunda Circle Officer Ziaul Haque was shot by a relative of murdered pradhan Nanhey Lal Yadav,policemen who witnessed the incident have reportedly told the CBI. The pradhan’s brother,Suresh,was leading the mob that attacked Haque,the policemen said,and he was carrying his licenced gun,as were his brothers Phoolchand,Pawan and Sudhir.

And Suresh,whose body was found a few metres from Haque’s,could have accidentally shot himself,the policemen added.

Those questioned by the CBI include Hathigawan station officer Manoj Shukla,Kunda SHO Sarvesh Mishra,senior sub-inspector Vinay Kumar and Haque’s gunner Mohammad Imran. All of them had rushed to Balipur after the pradhan’s murder on March 2 and all have since been suspended.

By the time Haque and his team reached the pradhan’s house,a mob had gathered.
