Coffee-table book on Lucknow released
A pictorial walk through the city of Nawabs,Lucknow – A Treasure,was released by Governor BL Joshi at Mohamed Bagh Club on Thursday evening at a function attended by the city elite. The coffee-table book is authored by architect Vipul B Varshney and has splendid pictures of the city interspersed with anecdotes and snippets from the Lucknow of yore.
I have no count of how many times I have visited the Imam Baras and other monuments of the city riding my two-wheeler,in the company of friends, says Varshney. It was this treasure of fond memories she has tried to share with a book that is a compliment to the idyllic atmosphere of the city. As the Governor said releasing the book: The city grows on you.
