C’mon,Commandos!

No beeped out abuses,only pep talk,promise the producers.

He was in the city on Wednesday,along with the show anchor and two ex-commandos,to test the aptitude of candidates from Lucknow eager to get selected to take part in the show.

The special edition is inspired by the spirit to stop terrorists in their tracks from attempting another 26/11. To train the participants,Captain Albert Louis,former 9 Para Commando and Special Forces of the Indian Army and Captain Dharmveer Singh will be handing out techniques and skills of survival,like water landing,monkey crawl,bootcamp drills,fitness and weapon training.

“By the time they are over with the show,the participants will emerge a braver and stronger lot,” says Vishal,who is eyeing acting assignments but in films. He shot for the Shahid Kapoor-starring Kaminey,but found all the footage missing from the final cut. “It happens all the time in the film industry,but I am pinning all hopes on my next project,which promises to be exciting and will do things to my career,” he remarks,somewhat wryly.

“If anything,the viewers will miss all the mean things that have been said and done in the previous seasons,” says Vivan Bhatena,who has been assigned the job of anchoring the show in place of Akash.

“There is no script to follow,besides names of sponsors to be taken from time to time,but one has the task of keeping the motivation level high and keep tempers low,” says Vivan,who is simultaneously going to anchor another Bindaas show Emotional Atyachaar.

“Boy,that’s gruelling! To see people breaking down and falling to bits as they witness the antics of their disloyal beloveds gives me goosebumps. Dadagiri Season 3 is a party in comparison.”

Vivan,who has replaced Angad Bedi on that show,has an eclectic career graph.

“I have done anything and everything that came my way and instead of pulling my hair in frustration over roles scissored or opportunities downsized,I feel happy,I am always busy.”

He rattles his repertoire breathlessly.

“I started at the age of 17 when I did a Falguni Pathak video. Music videos for Sonu Nigam,Hariharan and a host of others followed. I played Tulsi’s son-in-law in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and have done another Balaji Telefilms serial. I played a sizeable part in Chak De India,a wee-bit role in Rab Ne Banaa Di Jodi because Aditya Chopra insisted and another part in Karthik Calling Karthik,for which I got noticed. Now,I have my hands full with these reality shows.”
