Woman jumps from second floor,dies
A 33-year-old woman,Vinay Singh,jumped from the second floor of the Vivekanand Hospital in Lucknow after doctors declared her husband dead on arrival. Arvind Singh (37),a resident of the Cant area,was suffering from diarrahea. “Singh was brought to the hospital in the afternoon and after examining him,the doctors declared him dead,” said ASP (Trans Gomti) Paresh Pandey. Singh who owns a general merchant shop had four children.

Two dead in cylinder blast
Two persons died when a gas cylinder exploded in Lucknow’s Itaunja area on Wednesday evening. Six-year-old Pappu,who sustained injuries,has been admitted to the Trauma Centre. Harbansh,a salesman at a liquor shop,was preparing food when the gas cylinder caught fire. He threw the cylinder on the road,following which it exploded and left three persons injured. They were rushed to the Trauma Centre where doctors declared Sushil Devi (35) and Chottu (15) dead on arrival.
