Bomb recovered from Agra dhaba

A bomb was recovered from a roadside dhaba near Tedi Baghia crossing in Agra on Saturday night.

A bomb was recovered from a roadside dhaba near Tedi Baghia crossing in Agra on Saturday night. Experts from National Investigating Agency were summoned to defuse the bomb.

Police said the bomb was similar in make to the one which had exploded at a city hospital on September 17 that had left seven persons injured. The owner of the dhaba,Naresh Kumar,informed the police that two men — one around 25 years old and other around 40 — had come for having food and left a bag under the table. The police rushed to the site and found a pipe bomb in the bag which was connected with eight nine-volt batteries. Later,teams of the NIA,UP ATS and the National Security Guard visited the site. On Sunday afternoon,bomb was taken in a sand-filled tractor trolley to an open field and disposed of. On the basis of description given by the dhaba owner,the police has got two sketches made and have released them.
