Another blackbuck succumbs,toll touches 14

Another blackbuck died at Lucknow Zoo Thursday due to lung infection,taking the toll to 14 since Saturday,zoo director Renu Singh said. After the death of 13 blackbucks,state formed a two-member inquiry panel to probe the deaths of blackbucks. Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) Rupak De said forest officials and veterinarians are keeping a close tab on the remaining blackbucks. He said they are continuing the treatment and are also changing the soil and grass of the place. He added the Indian Veterinary Research Institute ,which is conducting pathological tests on blackbucks have not submitted the report. ens
