Amar speech CD goes to Election Commission

Taking suo motu cognizance of the speech,the district magistrate has sent the text and the CD of the speech to the CEO. In his report,he said it was a prima facie case of violation of the model code of conduct by the SP leader.

The Election Commission,meanwhile,has put a restriction of use of flags of two political parties in one vehicle and campaigning by a star campaigner in the political rally of other parties.

The new direction will hit the new alliance between the SP and Lalu Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal and the Ram Vilas Paswan-led Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) in UP and Bihar.

In its latest directive,the EC has said that no vehicle used for campaigning will display flags of two parties.

Similarly,the star campaigners of a political party will not be eligible for the same status if he was campaigning for the candidates of other party even under electoral pact.

State Additional CEO Amrit Abhijat said on Sunday that there will be no change in the list of star campaigners and if the

leaders of one party campaign for others,their expenditure will be added in the expense of the candidate of the other party.
