3-day parole for bereaved prisoners

The state government has amended the UP Rules,2007,to allow the prisoners three days parole on the death of a prisoners mother,father,brother,sister,son,daughter and on the marriage of a prisoners son or daughter.

Lucknow: The state government has amended the UP (Parole to Prisoners) Rules,2007,to allow the prisoners three days parole on the death of a prisoners mother,father,brother,sister,son,daughter and on the marriage of a prisoners son or daughter. In a statement,Prisons minister Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiyya said the district magistrate of the prisoners native district will have authority to allow the prisoner three days parole.

Minister-worker meet on fixed days

LUCKNOW: State president of Samajwadi Party (SP) and CM Akhilesh Yadav has deputed ministers for attending to workers and their grievances at the party office. The ministers will be available on their designated day between 10 am to 12 noon. Cabinet minister Shivpal Yadav will meet on Friday,Minister Ahmed Hasan and state secretary of party Ram Asrey Vishwakarma on Monday,Minister Balram Yadav and Ram Murti Verma on Tuesday,Minister Parasnath Yadav and Shahid Manzoor on Thursday.

Besides,Akhilesh Yadav will meet people at his official residence 5-Kalidas Marg every Wednesday.
