The crucial Assembly election in West Bengal has given the children of all the leaders of the political parties have their first brush with politics. The young brigade of the Trinamool Congress is all geared up for taking to the streets and campaign for change.
On April 9,the young brigade of the party, consisting of the children of all the top leaders of Trinamool,is going to bring out a mammoth rally at Kasba, where Satarup Ghosh, the youngest candidate of the CPM is contesting against Jawed Khan of Trinamool. Interestingly, only a few days back the children of CPM leaders like Goutam Deb and late Anil Biswas had walked in campaign rally of Satarup at Kasba.
Walking in Saturdays rally will be the beginning of my contribution towards the impending revolution in Bengal. The overall reason why we all have decided to come together and fight it out is that we have realised that it is high time to do something to save Bengal from the all-encompassing wreck she is experiencing, said Priyadarshini Ghosh, the daughter of Trinamool leader Atin Ghosh.
A graduate in business administration and currently an employee of PWC,Priyadarshini thinks it is their responsibility to encourage the young voters, who comprise a major portion of the electorate,to exercise their voting rights and press for change in governance. Not only this rally,we will be helping Trinamool in every possible way all through the election. I will give my blood and swat to make it a success, she added.
For Shreya Pandey, the daughter of MLA Sadhan Pandey, this election is more important than anything else-even her own career as an actress and model. Shreya, who is already actively campaigning for her father at his Maniktola constituency, has cancelled all her shooting schedules till April 29 to stay in Bengal and campaign for Trinamool.
The general idea of political leaders among the people of my generation is that they are corrupt beings. Trinamool will change the idea. A new, democratic government will be established, which is essential as the younger generation has not seen any other government thus far, Shreya said.
