SIR Draft Roll West Bengal 2025: Ahead of next year’s elections in West Bengal, the draft electoral roll will be published on December 16. The keenly awaited list being compiled by the Election Commission (EC) will determine who gets to cast their vote in the 2026 state Assembly elections.

What has also piqued interest is the revelation about data inconsistencies that were uncovered during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise. While a mismatch with the father’s name was observed for 85 lakh people, several others had age inconsistencies regarding the age of the parents vis-a-vis the children.

The draft electoral roll for West Bengal will be published on Tuesday (December 16). When the EC first announced a nationwide SIR on the heels of the Bihar SIR, the draft rolls were to be published by December 9. After a nudge from the Supreme Court, the poll body gave a one-week extension.

Earlier this month, the EC extended the SIR timeline in five states and one Union Territory. But West Bengal is not one of them.

SIR draft list: How to check if your name is on Draft Electoral Roll?

There are a few ways of checking your name in the draft electoral roll.

Offline: If you prefer to do this offline, there are two ways you can check the Electoral Roll

Reach out to your Booth Level Officer (BLO). Nearly 24 hours before the publication, the draft rolls had reached the BLOs who could view it on a dedicated application, PTI reported. They are allowed to view booth-wise data to facilitate preliminary verification.
The second option is to visit the block development office. The draft list will go live on Tuesday noon (December 16) for public access both online and offline.

Online: If you want to check the data from the comfort of your phone, you can visit a few online sites..
