‘See a lot of potential here’

Indian-Origin US astronaut Sunita Williams on Tuesday said that she sees an immense potential of space exploration by Indians in the days ahead.

Surprised to see 2,000-odd school students in Kolkata hearing her in pin-drop silence on space exploration,she said: “How interesting is that. I would want the country to hold on to that. It means that kids are interested in space,” she said and hoped for more collaboration between India and America in the field of space research.

“I am half Indian,half Slovenian but I am more a citizen of the universe.”
