No rainfall for north and south Bengal for a week: Met office

Several districts in south and north Bengal are unlikely to receive rain over the next seven days, according to the Met office.

Though the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has not issued any rain alert for these districts, it had forecast a drop in temperature Monday onwards.

Meanwhile, Purba Bardhaman and Nadia districts in south Bengal received light rainfall accompanied by gusty winds and thunder on Sunday.

In Kolkata, the maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded as 31 degrees Celsius , while the minimum was 24 degree Celsius.
