Man abducts former lover,held

A man was arrested for abducting his former girlfriend on Friday. According to the Shakespear Sarani police station,Sangeeta Hijam (21),a resident of Imphal in Manipur,used to teach dance at a private dance institute in Kolkata three years ago. During her stay in the city,she had an affair with Abdul Shahnabaz (39),a resident of Broad Street in South Kolkata. Over a year ago,Sangeeta left for Delhi without informing Abdul and taught dancing,police said. A few days ago,she returned to Kolkata and was spotted by Abdul and his friends. Around 2 pm today,Sangeeta was waiting for a bus with two of her friends when Abdul came on a bike with two of his friends. He asked Sangeeta to come with him and when she refused,he forcibly took her on the bike. Finding something fishy,onlookers took Abdul’s two friends to the police station.
