Mamata stable,told to take rest

THE condition of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee,who was admitted at a private hospital on Wednesday,is stated to be stable.

THE condition of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee,who was admitted at a private hospital on Wednesday,is stated to be stable. A six-member medical team under orthopadician Dr S Das has been looking after health.

The medical bulletin released by Belle Vue Clinic said she was suffering from musculoskeletal condition (pain in her joints and legs). Her pain is slightly better with analgesics but tender areas still persist. Her symptoms of intermittent palpitation and breathlessness also persists. Detailed Orthopedic evaluation revealed tenderness over neck,shoulder joints,right and left sacroiliac joints and outer aspect of left knee joint along with swelling.Analgesics have been stepped up. She has also been advised to undergo physiotherapy for her painful musculoskeletal conditions. She has been advised light diet and bed rest.

Subroto Moitra,the family physician of the CM,said that she needs rest for some more days. Her blood pressure is normal ,but she is unable to speak properly.

“Right now we are not in a position to tell when she will be released,but after her release too she has to be kept under observation at her home,” Moitra said.

Governor MK Naryanan,meanwhile visited the hospital to meet her. Panchayat Minister Subrata Mukherjee also met her.
