West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was fully aware of everything about Sudipta Sen,the alleged mastermind in the Saradha chit fund scam, according to arrested Trinamool Congress MP Kunal Ghosh. He made the claims in a pre-recorded video aired by a local private television channel on Tuesday. Ghosh, who has been suspended from the Trinamool, was group CEO of the media houses owned by the Saradha group of companies, which went bust in April. In the video,he took the names of 12 people, including Mamata, claiming they were connected to Sudipta Sen directly or indirectly and might help the investigators in the chit fund case. At a press conference held earlier, before his arrest,Ghosh had talked about a tell-all video that he had recorded in Delhi. He had said the video CD would be made public if he is not in a position to address the people. On Tuesday, the video was aired by Bengali news channel 24 Ghanta. In the video, after taking about 10 names, including Trinamool general secretary Mukul Roy,party MPs Subhendu Adhikary,Sisir Adhikary,Srinjay Bose, state minister Madan Mitra and retired IPS officer Rajat Majumdar,Ghosh started talking about Mamata. I would not take her name. She is respectable to me. But I would say that facts that people know are completely different from the facts which are genuine. The genuine fact is more dangerous. People would come to know about that in few years, he said. All the media houses owned by the Saradha group were used for the TMC party. If there was a single line reported against the party,I used to receive call asking why this happened.. The media owned by Sudipta Sen always functioned like the TMC mouthpiece, said Ghosh. I have heard that a letter from the Corporate Affairs Ministry was sent to the state government stating that certain irregularities were found in some companies including Saradha group. Why did the government not tell us that Sudipta Sen was not a good man and we should leave his company? The chief minister knew I worked in Sens media company. But she never told me to leave the job, said Ghosh. About Mukul Roy,Ghosh said it would be easier to investigate the scam if Roy helped the investigators. Roy and Rajat Majumdar a close associate of Sudipta Sen knew each other well,he claimed. In the first week of April 2013,when I could sense that Sen was facing problems,a meeting was arranged at Nizam Palace (Kolkata) between Roy and Sen. Majumdar and I were present there. However,Sen suddenly left the meeting,Mukul Da instructed Majumdar to met Sen in his office, he said, adding that soon after Sen went missing. Sen was not an absconder. A person could not be absconding keeping three cellphones on. I repeatedly requested Mukul Da to track him but he remained relaxed, Ghosh added. On TMC MP K D Singh,Ghosh said he made a deal with Sen wherein Singh was to invest money in Saradha Group to save the company and in exchange, all the Saradha agents were to switchover to Alchemist group. On state Transport Minister Madan Mitra,Ghosh said Mitra used to be the friend, philosopher and guide of Sen. Roy and Mitra could not be reached for comments. Mentioning the names of TMC MPs Subhendu Adhikary and Sisir Adhikary,Ghosh said,Sen had once called and told that he was facing difficulty in an high rise building project in East Midnapore as he was asked to give money to several members of Adhikary family. He said he had already paid them Rs 3.5 crore and requested me to talk to CM on this issue, which I did. CM told me to tell Sen that he would not need to pay more. Sen also spoke to CM through my mobile number on this issue. Subhendu Adkhiary could not be reached for comments. Sen told Mamata shell be PM Kunal Ghosh also claimed that he had seen the chief minister holding meetings with Gautam Kundu,CMD of Rose Valley group and Sudipta Sen,CMD of Saradha group,in Kalimpong. CM held meetings with Gautam Kundu and Sudipta Sen in the Delo Hill bungalow in Kalimpong. Mukul Roy was present.. Sen told CM that he would invest in media and there will be media branches in all languages., he claimed. He told the CM that she will be the prime minister. and his media would be the voice of Bengal. While this kind of discussion is on how can I think that the group is doing something wrong. Ghosh claimed he had been made a scapegoat. Funds from Sudipta for clubs He alleged that several times funds were taken from Sudipta Sen. A club in south Kolkata called Sanghashree was given at least Rs 18 to Rs 20 lakh for the puja and the request reached Sen from the top brass of TMC. She might have wanted to help the club. There are several other clubs.. The money went to the clubs in form of advertisement, said Ghosh.
