L N Mittal to attend Xavier’s alumni meet in London

According to Fr Felix Raj,principal of the college,the objective of a global meet is to inform the alumni about the various events that are taking place in their alma mater. “In 2007,when Mittal visited the campus he had expressed his willingness to be part of the alumni celebrations. We would like to reach out to the alumni,” said the principal of the college.

“He was very nostalgic of his days spent in the college and came out as very supportive of the college activities,” said Fr P C Mathew,the then principal of the college.

The steel tycoon was a BCom student and is said to have topped the batch in 1969. 

According to college officials,Shashi Tharoor,MoS External Affairs,who studied at St Xavier’s Collegiate School,is also expected to attend the meet.

Over the past one year,the college has organised alumni meets in New Delhi,Mumbai,Bangalore,Dubai,Bangkok and Singapore.
