The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Saturday commenced the process of conducting polygraph examinations of the key suspects in the alleged rape and murder of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata.

A team of polygraph experts from Delhi’s Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) has flown to Kolkata to conduct the tests.

Among those undergoing the lie detection tests are former RG Kar Medical College and Hospital principal Sandip Ghosh and four on-duty doctors working on the night of the incident. Sanjay Roy, the prime suspect, will likely be tested at the prison he is currently in, said CBI sources.
