Indian Air Force’s AN-32 craft crash lands in West Bengal’s Bagdogra airport, crew safe

An Indian Air Force (IAF) AN-32 transport aircraft crash landed at the Bagdogra Airport in West Bengal on Friday. Officials have confirmed that there has been no death in the incident and the crew members are unharmed.
“There is no loss of life, efforts are on to recover the aircraft from the site,” an official of the Ministry of Defence told The Indian Express while confirming the incident. The Indian Air Force has initiated efforts to recover the aircraft from the site.
The crash landing has resulted in damage to field infrastructure at the airport, said sources.
The incident has prompted investigations into the cause of the crash landing, the ministry official said.
