Cong leaders head to Raj Bhavan complaining of ‘TMC terror’

SENIOR leaders of the state Congress,led by its chief Pradeep Bhattacharya,on Wednesday met Governor M K Narayanan and complained that their party workers were being terrorised by Trinamool Congress workers in the districts where panchayat elections are to be held.

SENIOR leaders of the state Congress,led by its chief Pradeep Bhattacharya,on Wednesday met Governor M K Narayanan and complained that their party workers were being terrorised by Trinamool Congress workers in the districts where panchayat elections are to be held. “We told him about the trouble our supporters are facing regarding filing of nomination papers in Burdwan. Trinamool hooligans have surrounded the BDO office to prevent filing of nomination papers. The governor asked us to get in touch with the state election commissioner. We told him to talk to the Home Secretary ,” said Bhattacharya.
