CM opposed to CBI inquiry as it will expose TMC links

Senior CPM leader Surya Kanta Mishra on Friday alleged that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was averse to a CBI investigation into the chit fund scam as it would reveal links of a dozen of her partymen. Those running such schemes provided funds to the ruling Trinamool and a dozen MPs and MLAs will be in trouble if a CBI investigation was conducted, said Mishra at public meeting here to protest assault on party workers.
