Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari (Express File Photo)A POLITICAL war of words between the ruling TMC and the BJP over the Parliament security breach continued on Saturday, with BJP leader and Leader of Opposition, Suvendu Adhikari alleging that one of the arrested suspects, Lalit Jha, is linked to the TMC youth wing.
The Trinamool Congress however, dismissed the allegation. It again targeted Home Amit Shah over the “security lapse”.
Adhikari posted on X, “Arrests have been made in connection with the security breach at Parliament, including Lalit Jha. However, photos with TMC MLA Tapas Roy, TMC’s youth wing general secretary Soumya Bakshi, and TMC leader Rajesh Shukla suggest a disturbing connection.”
“The pictures hint at TMC’s deep involvement in the security breach. Why is Mamata Banerjee silent on this matter?” he added.
He also posted photographs purportedly showing Lalit Jha with several TMC leaders.
TMC spokesperson Kunal Ghosh countered the BJP. Ghosh said, “What was happened in Parliament… for that, the BJP MP who issued the passes should be expelled.”
