Rajasthan: LPG cylinders for Rs 450 for BPL, Ujjwala Yojana beneficiaries from Jan 1
Addressing a Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra programme in Tonk, CM Sharma said the subsidy money will be directly transferred into the account of women beneficiaries.

Fulfilling the BJP’s poll promise, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Wednesday announced that the state government will provide domestic LPG cylinders at a subsidised rate of Rs 450 from January 1.
Addressing a Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra programme in Tonk, CM Sharma said the subsidy money will be directly transferred into the account of women beneficiaries. Currently, Below Poverty Line and PM Ujjwala Yojana beneficiaries are provided subsidised LPG cylinders at Rs 500 each. Each family would be eligible for 12 subsidised cylinders annually.
In a post on X, Sharma termed the decision historic and said, “Taking inspiration from the all-inclusive mantra of Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji’s ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’, the Rajasthan government, dedicated to good governance, has decided to start providing gas cylinders for Rs 450 to every BPL and Ujjwala scheme beneficiary family in the state.”
He said “Modi ji’s guarantee means that the guarantee will be fulfilled” and that the “double engine BJP government” is determined to uplift the state.
Last month, after the BJP had announced in its manifesto that it will give gas cylinders for Rs 450 – Rs 50 less than the Congress government – the Congress party had announced in its manifesto that if voted to power, it will give away domestic cylinders for Rs 400.
