ED officer arrested in Jaipur by Rajasthan ACB for accepting Rs 15 lakh bribe
After verifying the complaint, a team led by Dr Ravi, the Deputy Inspector General with the ACB in Jaipur, nabbed Meena and his accomplice Babulal Meena in Jaipur while they were accepting the bribe of Rs 15 lakh.

The Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday arrested an Enforcement Directorate (ED) officer, posted in Manipur, and his associate for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 15 lakh for settling a matter related to a chit fund case, officials said.
As per ACB Additional Director General Hemant Priyadarshy, a person had lodged a complaint with the agency stating that Naval Kishore Meena, an Enforcement Officer (EO) with the ED in Imphal, Manipur had been demanding Rs 17 lakh bribe for not attaching his property and not arresting him in a chit fund scam in Imphal.
After verifying the complaint, a team led by Dr Ravi, the Deputy Inspector General with the ACB in Jaipur, nabbed Meena and his accomplice Babulal Meena in Jaipur while they were accepting the bribe of Rs 15 lakh. Both Naval Kishore and Babulal Meena are natives of Bassi in Jaipur. The ED said Naval Kishor was on a private visit to Jaipur after taking leave from his office.
The two are being questioned and a case will be lodged under the Prevention of Corruption Act against them, Priyadarshy said.
Later in the day, ED cited the ACB statement and suspended Meena. It said that as per the ACB statement “Naval Kishore Meena, EO, Imphal Sub-Zonal Office, Manipur and Babulal Meena alias Dinesh, Junior Assistant, Office of Deputy Registrar, Government of Rajasthan have been arrested by ACB, Jaipur. In this connection, ED has placed Naval Kishore under suspension and a PMLA case has been initiated against Naval Kishore Meena and Babulal Meena.”
