(File)Governors and chief ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have extended greetings on the eve of the Ugadi festival. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao expressed hope that Ugadi will bring good fortunes to people in all fields.
The chief minister said that Telangana is flourishing with abundant irrigation water, and people all over the state are getting drinking water. The chief minister said that the progress achieved by Telangana has become a role model for the country. CM KCR wished that Telangana and India will achieve further development in the year of ‘Shubhakruth Nama’.
Telangana Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundarajan also extended greetings to the people of Telangana and to Telugu people across the world.
“Ugadi is a festival of joy and hope and the New Year shall bring with it new cheer and a bright future. I am confident that ‘Sri Shobhakruthu Nama Samvatsaram’ will usher in peace, prosperity, harmony, health, and happiness to all people and sections of the society,” she said.
Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer said: “I am sure that the Ugadi Telugu New Year will usher in peace, prosperity, harmony, and happiness to all sections of the people in Andhra Pradesh.”
Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy wished the people of the state on the occasion as well. YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said he hoped that the festival, which starts with a Ugadi recipe known as ‘Ugadi Pachadi’, would help in setting up new goals, and ideas for the overall development of the state. He also wished that the state would receive abundant rainfall this year and that the farmers would be happy with good yields.
