Youth held for murder of girlfriend’s tutor

The police found that the girl was also having an affair with two others,Lokesh and Pradeep.

On being interrogated on Tuesday,Lokesh confessed to the crime. “Lokesh said he wanted to marry the girl,but she had started ignoring him. He then started spying on her and found that she was in constant touch with Pramod and Pradeep. He then planned to eliminate the other contenders,” said a police officer.

“As part of his plan,he developed an affair with another girl. He bought a new SIM on a fake identity and told his new girlfriend to call Pradeep and fix a meeting. However,Pradeep found the call suspicious and did not turn up. Later,she contacted Pramod,who agreed to meet her at Big Bazaar in Vishwas Nagar on May 18,” said the officer.

Outside the mall,Lokesh had a fight with Pramod,said the officer. His girlfriend,however,made the two reach a compromise,he added. “The three then went to a restaurant in Geeta Colony,where Lokesh offered Pramod food laced with Nitrazetan,a sedative,” said the officer. After Pramod started feeling dizzy,Lokesh dropped his girlfriend in Jagatpuri and told her he would drop Pramod later on. He then called a friend,Sandeep,a parking attendant at Cross River Mall in Karkardooma,and strangulated Pramod with a wire,said the officer. The two disposed of the body at Muradnagar Canal in Uttar Pradesh,the police said. The Maruti van used for the crime has also been recovered.
