Rajpura-based Raja Farms has now introduced ‘Peggs’ or Punjab Eggs that are bigger in size and targeted at consumers in the region. “There’s a huge consumption of eggs in Punjab and what’s unique about Peggs is that they are of uniform weight and boast of a large size and high nutritional value. Since these are one-of-a-kind,branded,large-sized eggs from the state,we’ve decided to call them Punjab Eggs,” says Mohit Raja,director of Raja Farms,a company certified by Quality Warranty Standard,New Zealand. Peggs,produced in relatively clean farms with European technology,come in a pack of six (Rs 33). Though the yolk colour is robust,these taste pretty much the same as the smaller ones.
