Woman held for getting husband killed

A woman allegedly paid money to three men to get her husband killed as she was fed up of his “alcoholic habits and inhuman attitude towards her”.

A woman allegedly paid money to three men to get her husband killed as she was fed up of his “alcoholic habits and inhuman attitude towards her”. The woman,arrested by the South Delhi police,has been identified as Maida.

Police have also arrested the three men she paid money to. They have been identified as Charan Singh,Shailandra Kumar and Abhishek Shukla.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) H G S Dhaliwal said that Desh Raju was found murdered on January 24 in Asola wildlife sanctuary. His face was found smashed with stones and his throat was slit.

Police circulated the photograph of the body. Raju’s next-door neighbour identified the body. When approached,Maida said she could not recognise the body. During interrogation,she reportedly broke down and confessed to the crime.

“She told us that she was fed up with her husband’s alcoholic habits and inhuman attitude towards her. She roped in Charan Singh who persuaded his friends Kumar and Shukla to murder Raju. On January 23,Maida paid Rs 500 to organise a party to execute their plan to kill him,” Dhaliwal said.
