Woman found dead in Jahangirpuri

A 24-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence in Jahangirpuri on Sunday afternoon, police said.

A magisterial inquiry has been ordered since the woman was married for less than seven years,” he said.

According to police, the woman was taken to Jagjeevan Ram hospital by her relatives where she was declared brought dead. The relatives then made a pcr call and police reached the hospital and began investigations.

Though police are treating this as a case of suicide, the woman’s relatives suspect foul play. Mohammed Yunus, uncle of the deceased, said that there was no marital discord between the woman and her husband though he said all angles should be probed by police.
