Even as the weather remained pleasant on Monday despite high humidity,the weatherman has predicted rains over the next two days.
The maximum temperature recorded in in the city on Monday was 31.5 degrees Celsius; while the minimum was recorded at 17.9 Degrees Celsius (a departure of 0.6 degrees from the normal average).
Met department has predicted a change in the weather pattern over the next two days with an approaching western disturbance,which is likely to produce light to moderate precipitation in few places,including Delhi and NCR regions,Jammu and Kashmir,Himachal Pradesh,Uttarakhand,Punjab,Haryana and North Rajasthan.
The western disturbance is likely to cause formation of an induced low over Central-Pakistan and adjoining Rajasthan. This,with anti-cyclone over the Bay of Bengal,may facilitate influx of moisture into the region,which is conducive to occurrence of thunderstorm activity over the area, a Met department official said.
