Uttar Pradesh: Dozen vehicles collide due to dense fog on Delhi-Moradabad highway, 1 injured

About a dozen vehicles collided with each other on the Delhi-Moradabad highway near Hapur on Monday morning. The incident took place under Hafizpur police station limits in Uttar Pradesh.

“Some vehicles collided with each other due to fog on the Delhi-Moradabad highway in Hafizpur police station area… However, the specific reason for the collision is being investigated. So far, information has been received that one person has been injured in this incident and has been admitted to the hospital,” said Varun Mishra, Circle Officer, Traffic, Hapur police.

The police said some eyewitnesses have told them that a vehicle suddenly applied the brakes and the vehicles behind it collided one after the other.

Videos of damaged vehicles from the accident site have gone viral on social media.
