A day after Delhi University announced scrapping of the four-year undergradute programme (FYUP), the university’s statutory bodies — the Academic and Executive Councils — passed a resolution on Saturday to formally rollback FYUP and revert to the earlier three-year course.
Emergency meetings of the two bodies were held on Friday evening to pass the resolution to implement the three-year course and to follow admissions as per the courses that were in force in the 2012-13 academic session. While six out of 71 members voted against the decision in the AC, two of the 18 members present dissented in the EC meeting.
