Two held for Rs 64 lakh fraud

Two men from Gwalior were arrested for allegedly withdrawing Rs 63.4 lakh from the account of a person by forging his signature,police said.

Two men from Gwalior were arrested for allegedly withdrawing Rs 63.4 lakh from the account of a person by forging his signature,police said.

“Girish Pathak and Jitender Singh were apprehended following investigations into a complaint filed by the manager of ICICI branch in Nehru Place on October 4,” said Additional Commissioner of Police (Southeast) Ajay Chaudhary.

The manager claimed that accused got account details Stride Infra Home Pvt. Ltd and withdrew the amount.”

“They placed a request for a new cheque book,forged signatures and withdrew Rs 63.4 lakh,” said Chaudhary.

Pathak opened an account with ICICI in the name of Jai Bhole Nath Traders.”
